Alvamar Public Golf Course includes the Jayhawk and Quail Creek nines and is open to the public. Noted architect, Bob Dunning, designed a course characterized by large scale greens, tees and flowing fairways, very much in the spirit of the famous Robert Trent Jones. The greens have recently been upgraded to a state-of-the-art bentgrass — Pickseed 962. Both the tees and fairways are Meyer Z-52 zoysiagrass. Alvamar is a wonderful mix of natural Eastern Kansas plantscaping with many added plantings of ornamentals and flowering materials. The outstanding course design and beautiful landscaping create a wonderful golf experience and the perfect atmosphere for Jayhawk fans to celebrate, enjoy camaraderie with new and old friends and relive the memories of the 2008 Jayhawk National Championship. 

 

 

The National Championship Classic will consist of 18 holes of golf and is limited to the first 36 Foursomes. On each hole, you will get to participate in an exciting contest (longest drive, closest to the pin, etc) or meet one of the players 2008 National Championship team, or another player from the Jayhawk Basketball Family.
